The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta is a community-oriented Not For Profit organization that serves to connect, care and support members of the Jewish Community in greater Atlanta, in Israel, and throughout the world.
ALEF Fund, one of the Jewish Federation’s fundraising campaigns, assists families in Georgia to obtain access to better educational opportunities for their family in participating Jewish private schools.
Prior to engaging with ALEF, the fundraising campaign was administrated manually. A contributor would download and complete a PDF document, and return the executed document via FAX to initiate the pledge process. From getting confirmation from the IRS, to tracking and engaging contributors, the Fund Administrator worked tireless hours to support the system to manually draw the $2.2M in funds annually.
Our team digitized the entire process, allowing contributors themselves to manage the pledge process. We built a secure portal that would support contributors through the process of:
- Pledge
- Contribution
- Assigning contributions to selected schools
- Reporting for tax purposes
We also streamlined administrative headache of managing the fund, through the process of:
- Tracking contributions at the level of school and/or contributor
- Messaging throughout the campaign cycle
- Reporting for the contributor, recipients, and the IRS
In addition to drastically cutting the hours involved in managing the fundraising process, making the process easier on contributors raised funds contributed from $2.2M to $5.2M in one annual cycle!
