marketing ROI I’m Rob Riggs and as you
may know by now
why do exists to help growing
organizations leverage web technology to
solve business problems and one of the
largest business problems that potential
clients come to us with is brevity and
we’ve got a myriad of ways to help with
that but today we’re going to talk about
calculators you remember one of these
guys likely if you’re you’re above the
age of the Millennial and you know
basically it’s an old fashioned
calculator but these days it’s very easy
to implement one of these online in a
way that’s going to impact business and
revenue and I’m gonna talk through just
a couple examples of what we’ve done for
a few clients and hopefully it will give
you some good ideas or what is possible
so for one client American Life fund
they’re a viatical settlement company
American Life Fund helps people with
certain types of illnesses to collect on
their life insurance prior to actually
expiring and so there there are a lot of
things that life insurance can
accomplish for somebody’s family but
American Life Fund helps their clients
take advantage of that those funds that
they’ve contributed to four years before
that time of their passing so that they
can get get medication get help get care
or take a great vacation and go out with
a bang or whatever but the so they they
do you know a great service here for
their for their market but so what you
see here is essentially a calculator it
doesn’t look like one it’s essentially a
form that is a decision decision engine
that will help a prospective clients
make a decision about whether or not to
work with American Life Fund and so
we’re going to fill out a couple pieces
of information here and as we do this
we’re collecting
information in order to return a an
estimate on here’s the value of your
policy the the type of illness that you
have some other information here and
there we’re going to turn back an
estimate here’s our offer would you like
to speak with us and so that decision
engine gives us some information that
prospective clients some information and
then an opportunity to take that next
step to to reach out and contact
somebody next example is next track and
they’re a fleet management company a an
example of a calculator here you know
again decision engine enter the number
of vehicles you have in your fleet and
click that calculate savings and we’re
going to show you how much you’d save
every month by using our service another
example was at Vito this is a cool
example of a form we’re on the right
side o we could just enter data as as
we’d like but on the left side we can
click and drag sliders which is kind of
cool and those sliders impact the the
numbers that are in the field forms here
but as I click Submit I’m going to get
results again real time results that
help me make a decision about whether or
not to use this company as you know as a
service provider and then email my
results again it’s that next step we’ve
given you some information like let’s
get them in the funnel so aah I American
health imaging their radiology company
multiple multiple locations and their
challenge was communicating what the
cost of an exam was compared to a
hospital or another facility and I’m
going to enter some basic information
about what I need scanned what type of
scan and then my type of insurance a
point to where it hurts basically points
of you know what I need scans and click
Next and it’s going to give me an A
is a estimate for that type of exam so
we’re taking a lot of data upfront and
building a formula and bringing back an
estimate and again that next step is
let’s schedule an appointment let’s get
you in the door
well that’s example a credit card
processor who wants to provide a loyalty
program to small business merchants that
are processing through them and so
they’ve given them access their small
business merchants to a savings program
here is a savings calculator that is
taking estimates of costs that a small
business is currently spending on types
of types of expenses office supplies
computers you know etc and as they walk
through this they can see the small
business merchants I can see how much
they would save annually by
participating in this program
this is just another example of how
technology can help convert a lead to a
prospect to self vet sub qualify convert
that prospect to client without really
spending the time to engage specifically
and that’s a great way to scale a
business to scale revenue scale clients
based on some effort upfront to build
out that piece of engagement and then
turn it on push it out for the world to
use it’s a great way to to leverage
technology to again solve that revenue
