The WordPress project (wordpress.org) recently issues an update (4.9.3) that had a flaw in it. It was caught immediately and a patch (4.9.4) was released in just a few hours. If your website build is on WordPress 4.9.3, we recommend you upgrade immediately.
If you’re on YDO’s Continuous Improvement Plan, you don’t need to worry. We’ve already upgraded on your behalf.
Here’s what the update does:
Updating to 4.9.4 is important because it allows your website to get automatic security updates without any intervention from you. If your site is not updated to 4.9.4, security patches that are released will not be installed and your site will remain vulnerable.
If you’re managing your own WordPress updates, here is the easiest way to upgrade:
Log into our WordPress Administration area, and under Dashboard > Updates, click “Update Now.”
