Can you imagine marketing your brand without the online space? The digital revolution has become so prominent in your everyday life, and this activity opens a variety of opportunities to publicize and market your brand to your audience. You’re probably already on social media and have a killer website, but how can you take advantage of this platform to build a loyal and engaged audience?
According to The Social Media Examiner, out of the 97 percent of marketers who are currently participating in social media, almost 85 percent aren’t sure of the best way to use it. Check out these quick ways you can attract fans and brand ambassadors through online efforts.
Build a Community
The internet has become so advanced that it almost feels like its own world. You can talk to and see people, shop, play games, read and research, and work all online. As a brand you can take advantage of this other world by building a community around your product through the online space. Make your audience feel like they are getting a unique experience by engaging with your brand online and you’ll likely see a more loyal following.
Try offering incentives, like promotions or discounts, that are only given if people follow you on social media. Once they have followed you, make sure it’s a unique and exciting experience. Lots of people find it annoying following brands whose single focus is to promote their company. Instead, see if you can start discussions on your page around topics related to your products. Or, make it a place where customers can express requests that you respond to.
For example, on the company’s Instagram, Nike relates to its audience through interesting athlete profiles and exercise-related information. Nike includes a simple call to action, encouraging readers to shop at Nike. Building a community around common interests, unique experiences and special perks allows audiences to feel like they are part of something different and this will hopefully keep them coming back for more.
Keep Your Audience on Their Feet
To attract brand ambassadors, it’s important to keep them engaged with your brand. And what better way is there to do that than by doing something new and different? Instead of simple content, try cool photos and videos, interview related personalities, tell stories and share facts. Each post on your social media accounts should be different but equally fascinating to viewers.
You could also try holding online competitions such as a photo contest on Instagram, re-post other users’ interesting posts or encourage your audience to use particular hashtags to build traffic. Report on your brand’s everyday activities or post about an initiative that the company is involved in. Apple, for example, promoted its latest iPads by donating them to the producers of “House of Cards” set to be used on the show. Not only does this mean that the product will appear online where the show is available, but the cast and producers automatically are presented as a loyal audience.
